Mental Health Issues

Are emotional difficulties preventing you from living life to its fullest?  If so, help is available.  Your mental health is an important aspect of your overall well-being.
 
Mood disorders (e.g., depression) and anxiety disorders are two commonly diagnosed types of mental problems.  If you suffer from these or other ailments, you are not alone.  The good news is that many mental conditions are highly treatable.
 
A variety of counseling techniques and medications have produced good results.  Symptoms can be significantly reduced or eliminated, and conditions can become more manageable with time and treatment.  But first you must realize that there is a problem and seek help.  Many times people suffer in silence due to shame or embarrassment or they inappropriately self-medicate with drugs and alcohol.
 
If you think you or a loved one may have a mental disorder speak with your doctor or look in your telephone directory for a treatment facility.
