De-Stress For The Holidays
The Morning Call (Allentown, PA), November 20, 2007

“For fast-acting relief, try slowing down.”
~ Lily Tomlin
Holiday season is upon us once again. Planning ahead is one of the best ways to reduce your stress during this very busy time.
Do this by:
- Prioritizing your activities and realizing that you won’t be able to do everything. Which are most important to you?
- Setting a realistic budget and sticking to it. Money is a big source of stress and many people tend to overspend on celebrations and gifts.
- Managing your food and alcohol intake – and staying healthy. Beware of overindulging on high-calorie foods and keep an eye on maintaining the proper nutritional balance.
- Building some down time into your schedule. Your body needs occasional rest breaks.
