Be Thankful

The Morning Call (Allentown, PA), November 21, 2006

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy;
they are the charming gardeners
who make our souls blossom”
~ Marcel Proust
As Thanksgiving approaches we are reminded of how blessed we are in our lives.  Our families and friends, our health, and our lifestyles are things we should not take for granted.  Many individuals and many countries are not as fortunate.
Expressing feelings of gratitude is best done on a regular basis.  Our appreciation should not be limited to just one day per year.  Think of the people who are important in your life and let them know how much they mean to you.
At this patriotic time I would like to extend a special “thank you” to our current and former military personnel for their generous service to our country in the pursuit of freedom.  Your time and effort are greatly appreciated by many of your fellow American citizens.
I wish all of my readers an enjoyable and healthy holiday season.
