Simplify Your Life

The Morning Call (Allentown, PA), September 26, 2006

Madonna is right when she says that we are living in a material world.
Keeping up with the Joneses (or worse, the Rockefellers) is stressful.  Possessions require money, time, and space.  And, these trinkets will not produce long-term happiness and fulfillment.  Do you really need these things, or do you just want them?  Why?
Perhaps it is time to adopt a less-is-more approach to life.  Instead of seeking more things we might consider seeking more enjoyable experiences and treasured memories.
Simplicity can bring peace and joy to your life.  You don’t have to deprive yourself of life’s pleasures or skimp on quality, but streamlining by cutting out the excess stuff can bring a sense of relief and a renewed focus on what is truly important.
